About this manual espresso
The ECF01 brings Smeg's distinctive 1950s-inspired styling to a genuinely capable espresso machine, available in a range of colours to match a retro kitchen aesthetic without sacrificing performance. A thermoblock boiler paired with a 15-bar pump delivers proper extraction pressure, and the built-in grinder with adjustable settings lets you dial in fresh grounds for each shot rather than relying on pre-ground coffee. The manual steam wand provides full control for milk texturing, and a water hardness selector allows the machine to be tuned to local Australian water conditions for better tasting coffee and reduced scale build-up. Its die-cast metal body feels substantial on the bench, and the combination of style and function makes it a popular choice for kitchens where appliances double as a design statement.
