About this shade and umbrella
The Freeport cantilever solves the classic problem of an umbrella pole crowding a dining table, holding a 3.5m canopy on an offset arm so the full setting stays shaded and clear underneath. A commercial-grade aluminium mast and heavy cross base are engineered for Australian wind gusts, and the canopy tilts and rotates 360 degrees to track the sun through a long lunch. Fabric is a marine-grade acrylic with a UPF rating that blocks the harshest midday exposure, which matters on an exposed deck or a north-facing courtyard with no natural shade. It closes with a smooth crank system rather than a pulley, and the base plates accept optional weights for extra stability in coastal wind.
