About this self-emptying robot
Dreame's X40 Ultra brings a clever extending side brush and mop arm that reaches right into skirting corners, a real advantage in Australian homes with lots of tight hallway edges. Suction is class-leading, making short work of embedded pet hair on rugs and fine dust on floorboards. The dock washes mop pads with hot water, empties the bin automatically and tops up the tank, so ongoing maintenance is minimal. MopExtend technology physically pushes the mop pad out to clean along walls that round robots usually miss, while dual cameras and LiDAR combine for confident navigation around toys, cables and pet bowls. Automatic mop lifting keeps carpets dry, and the robot can climb over door thresholds up to 4cm with ease, making it well suited to homes with mixed flooring throughout.
